Four-dimensional geometry is incredibly difficult to visualize and understand. It can be helpful to break the shapes up into smaller clusters of cells. For each of these pieces, outer cells have been removed and inner cells have been selected in ways that highlight interesting patterns and relationships.
The “600-cell Platter” contains 189 of the full 600 tetrahedral cells. The “120-cell Platter” contains 25 of the full 120 dodecahedral cells.
This project was inspired by the book "Visualizing Mathematics with 3D Printing" by Henry Segerman.
