This was made to stop the heater from blasting hot air directly at the filament spool which sometimes caused uneven heating, warped cardboard spools, and sometimes even softened the filament more than it should. This simple deflector redirects the airflow outward and away from the spool, which also helps improve overall circulation. No mods, no screws, nothing fancy. Just drop it in and it sits snugly at the bottom of the container. Print in heat-resistant materials like ASA or ABS. PETG may work as well, depending on what temperatures you dry at. Note: This was sized to fit the PolyDryer, but tolerances can vary. STEP and STL files are included so you can modify as needed. Boost MeIf you like this model, a boost is always appreciated! 😊
