Pool overfill protection device. I created this because I could not stand to lose the rain water to the drain only to have to fill my pool two-three days later. This design is supposed to (not fully tested yet) allow the pool to fill slightly higher than the standard overfill would allow.
You will need a 1/8" (0.125") rubber gasket to seal. I found a pack of two 6"x6" at Home Depot for under $6...then cut to fit the sides and bottom on the lower Thing.
The top is optional, but I plan for it to help lessen the amount of water through the overfill due to splashing - again not fully tested yet. The hopes is the top is hollow enough (when printed at 5% infill) to float when the water rises due to rain but heavy enough that splashes cause no impact.
Both parts printed in PETG...
I printed the lower at 1.6mm wall, top and bottom thickness to ensure strength.
I printed the upper at 0.8mm wall, top, and bottom thickness to make it lite enough to float.
