I created this powder check die to try and get affordable accurate indication of powder over under charge that could be connected to my existing arduino. Since this design physically compares powder charge height to case mouth height significant variations between case length will also cause it to trigger. Found out this is very useful for detecting that .380 that got mixed in with 9MM.
This simply uses a 3d printer endstop.

So far despite my lack of CAD, Engineering, and Printing skills it's proven very reliable and very accurate when properly adjusted although the outer main body is fairly loose. I used a brass cleaning rod as the powder check through rod in his setup. Using a lighter material would probably be better.
1. Put an empty case in the powder check station
2. Run shell plate up to the top
3. Assemble the outer main body, Optical sensor holder, and inner thread activation tube.
4. Thread the above assembly int
