PPE Face Shield Joint (For small bed)

This is a modified version of the 3DVerkstan (US) face shield for healthcare providers. It has been modified by Carlos Sabogal and Madeline Cunningham for smaller print beds around 225mm x 145mm such as a MakerBot Replicator, Flash Forge, or similar.

In earlier prototypes, we found that placing the connection in the center of the headband created a bump at the joint line that could rub and eventually irritate the forehead. We have avoided contact with the skin by moving the joint to the side where the frame is held away from the forehead. We also got feedback from nurses that the transparency eventually pops loose from the front pegs. We added small barbs to the front pegs to reduce this problem.
