In my Chess Clock project I wanted to create a switch that is hold down by a magnet (part of the micro solenoid), and released electronically.
For this I have design this set of parts around a cheep micro-solenoid.
- The first piece will sit on the top of the solenoid. [Should be split before print, and glued together afterwards!] This piece will keep the lower end of the spring.
- The second piece holds the T-bar, and the other end of the spring.
- The third piece connects the second piece and the button, also acts as a bumper.
- The forth piece is the button, that should be located outer the case.
- The fifth piece should be glued to the case from the outer side. This will prevent dirt come in, but more importantly disables the button from being turned. I had 4mm face thickness in my box.
- The sixth piece is a bonus piece, it is required to my clock project: this is a rotary encoder knob with the same design as the button before.
You will also need a spring. A
