This is a working printed maple seed samara. Print settings are very important because of how thin the wing is. I am working on an easier to print version but its not quite ready to release yet.
Print at 100% infill, 0.04mm or possibly 0.08mm layer height. Be careful when removing from the bed.
Being a 100% infill object, its important to dial in extrusion settings before you attempt this. Check your % overlap settings and maybe dial it down as close to 0 as possible. The wing is ultimately 2 very thin layers so getting them just right is the key to success here. That being said, they should rotate even with a torn up wing just based on the center of mass being in the correct spot.
