Turn any $30 dial indicator stand into a 3D probe positioned. The positioner must have a 0.375" (9.5mm) tool holder hole. The extended post allows you to add weight for better connectivity. Also a shout out to funbart for the M5 knob I used https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:641854.
