So this was probably my biggest 3D printing project I've worked on so far. I was super inspired by the artwork that Hershel Shapiro creates, and would highly recommend checking out and supporting his work (https://herschelshapiro.com/). I thought it would be fun to learn how to create similar physics-based sculptures as he does, and so I set out to do just that. The basic idea is that I spent 2 months learning Blender to create setup that procedurally generates these sculptures using geometry nodes based on a variety of input variables. The individual structures as well as the physics that controls their movement are adjustable (such that they could be more like grass blades in shape swirling around the center instead of exploding outwards if I wanted). Each of the pieces is also individually numbered to try and make assembly a little bit easier. For hanging I just used Velcro command strips since the completed sculpture isn’t too heavy, and I’m in an apartment so I don’t want to da
