Project B.O.T.

Project B.O.T - Bypass Obstacles in Transit - is a wearable safety and mobility aid device developed especially for the less mobile among us. It can help you navigate the Urban Jungle that cities are today by tracking where Obstacles like works, pole in the middle of the sidewalk, … are and helps you avoid them so that you arrive at your destination with the least amount of hassle. With the help of some IoT techniques (GPS, LoRa) and MQTT services we are able to receive and send data to the B.O.T. device. This data gets added to a version of OpenStreetMap.

Trough a simple interface and a 3 Buttons feedback People can easily interact with the device. A simple press on the GOOD button records a location where people feel safe (Good lit, Good Crossing, ..) A press on the BAD button records a location where conditions are not Ideal.
