Lock designed to prevent kids from climbing upstairs.
Designed for Ø 8 mm stainless steel rods. Middle rod is epoxyd to the carriage. Used 4rubber O-Rings to prevent loud noise when lock snaps in position.
Lock was designed for 10 mm travel between open and closed position, 38x38 mm wood beams and M3 threaded inserts.
Assembly:
1. Screw the housing with 4 wood screws in place (will not be possible with inserted rods!)
2. Insert outer Ø 8 mm rods just a few mm so they stick out to the inside of the housing
3. Insert the 2 front O-Rings.

5. Insert spring
6. Slide outer Ø 8 mm rods as far as the stick out at the end of the carriage just so you can...
7. Insert the 2 rear O-Rings
8. Slide the outer Ø 8 mm rods till the end.
9. Close the housing with the cover and 4 M3x8 screws.
Note: Depending on the length of the middle rod you may need to widen the middle hole in order to insert the carriage into the housing.
