Recently I wanted to get rid of my Pi0 within my MK3s.
I opted to get a Pi3+ as close as possible to the Pi0 mounting directly behind the Einsy.
That whats this mod is all about.
BETA! Tested but not finished!
All ports except USB power in are usable (SDcard removal with pliers, tho)
also note, that the housing has the revision R1!
i maybe will work on this if there is an request.
I have an upgraded first gen MK3, so the old cablewraps.
What you'll need:
Printed parts of this thing,
- Original Prusa Mk3 hinges, screws, square nuts and Einsy
- 7 M3 heating inserts, I used the 'ruthex' ones but other should work, too
- 4 DIN912 - M3x6/8 for mounting the Pi
- 3 DIN912 - M3x16 for mounting the back housing (be careful with the upper one, as it might hit the Einsy!)
- most importantly - Long pinheader extenders like : https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07NQ5Z7Y9 .
two rows, Same amount and positioning as on the Zero spacer.
Also you have to isolate at least the LAN
