PTFE provides excellent gliding and durable surfaces. So I make use of it for a new kind of spool holder.

Materials:

Four 4mm PTFE tube (the most common type), each 104.5mm long.
A sharp cutter.
Cutting guide (optional but very useful)
Instructions:

Print a pair of the model. PLA is good enough. I printed them with 0.16mm layer height, 2 walls, 15% infill.
Put the prepared PTFE tubes into the slots. Each holder needs two tubes. (See photos) Tips: insert the ends of the tube first, then tackle the middle. It should be a press fit.
Done !
Just like TUSH, it can stand on its own. But if you want better stability, you can make your own tray or something.

It work well on my 20cm size spools. I haven't tested it on other sizes of spools. Pleaes let me know if it work or not for other sizes. Enjoy!
