I was tired of making the handle shape every time I needed a new push stick for my saws and jointer. I don't have a spindle sander, and the inside cut was always rough off the bandsaw. I made this reusable handle, so I don't have to worry about that anymore. The handle is made so that you can quickly change out the wood portion once it gets used up. To minimize milling the design was created to use 2x4 by 11-inch material, resawed down to 5/8. This gives enough room to get two blanks out of a standard 2x4 with some wiggle room. The notch dimensions are not critical, but I ended up leaving 1.5 inches material from the back and making it ½ deep. Assembly Slip the handle onto the wooden body and fasten with two #6x5/8 screws (one each side)Printed in PLA at 15% fill, its plenty strong, and print time is just over 2 hours using 60 grams.Print a few so that you can have them around the shop.
