If you want to switch your Qidi X-Max (1) from the (slightly frustrating) original firmware to Klipper, then the original touchscreen cannot be used anymore. But it is possible to use other touchscreens on your the RaspberryPI (which runs Klipper(screen)). [Waveshare has a 5 inch touchscreen](https://www.waveshare.com/5inch-dsi-lcd.htm) with a board which is smaller in width and height. It is therefore ideal to be used together with a self-designed adapter.
Additional materials required:
* 1m or 1.5m (depending on the position of your RPi) DSI/CSI 15 pin flat flex cable (please ping me if you find one with good EMI shielding)
* 8x short M2.5 screws to attach the display to the adapter (should hopefully be delivered with the display)
* use original screws to attach the adapter to the Qidi X-Max chamber
My display (or the Qidi display mounting points) was tilded for me by 0.23 degree. I've compensated this by misaligning the outer holes by 0.25mm. If you want to change
