This remix of Sindarius excellent Bowden upgrade for the M3D Crane Quad print head with the following changes:
1. The geometry of the Quad Bowden Hat has been reconfigured to allow printing without any supports.
2. I moved the Inserts that fill the holes where the motors would normally be mounted to the inside of of the Quad clamshell. This design eliminates the need to use the original bearings. The inserts also have allen key / flat head screw fittings to allow for rotation once the clam shell is released. Once assembled you can fine tune the positioning to allow filament to push through smoothly. Once the clam shell is tightened these should remain fixed.
The issue many of us have experienced with the M3D Quad is that the small motors used by M3D lack sufficient power to extrude the filament in a consistent and precise manner. I previously designed a fan attachment to keep the motors cool but eventually decided to abandon them altogether and drive the printer with fram
