I designed this model in CAD while exploring the Koch curve fractal and its relationship to cubes, specifically a quadratic Koch snowflake at level two. The structure is recursive, using cubes as the base form, and I cut the model along the isometric viewing plane to reveal the classic 2D Koch snowflake pattern on the underside. The included 3MF file even adds a Hilbert curve pattern on the bottom for a cool aesthetic touch. I personally think it looks awesome in multicolor silk PLA. (You can disable this to save some time) Plus, it prints with no supports and works great with zero infill (or whatever infill you prefer). I think this piece could make a great fridge magnet, pendant, or other decorative item. I'd love to see what you come up with! Update: If you like this model, you may enjoy the other one I just released.
