This is my entry into the #MakeItFloat challenge and the first challenge I have entered.
Designed using OpenSCAD and printed at .2mm layer height and 10% infill using ABS. Printed with supports and raft on a Flashforge Creator Pro and using Simplify3D software.
I tried to make it as large as possible and still print comfortably on my Flashforge Creator Pro, will see if I feel like making it longer and/or taller to hold more weight. The first picture shows the boat floating with $10 (about 226 grams or just under 1/2 pound) of loose quarters in the center channel and 2 AAA batteries weighing about 12 grams each for a grand total of 250 grams (.55 pound). The pontoons were completely submerged before adding the batteries, after adding the batteries you can see the water level is just below (approx. 5 mm or 1/5 inch) the top of the boat.
The second picture is about 20% printed and you can see inside the 2 pontoons (1 is mostly hidden from the x-axis support) as well as the 2 ai
