A design I made based on the Qubes Subwoofer box made from MDF. This is the accompanying mid/top range boxes not designed for bass, ergo protected for longer speaker life. The design houses a 17cm and a 13cm (generally seen as 6.5" and 5.25") pioneer two way speakers, in each box. Placed at 45 degrees for full room spread sound. You can of course print which sides you like and have upto 5 or as little as one speaker in each box. How you configure the wiring for this is your concern though ! I ran both speakers in parallel giving 8ohms back to the amp. Full range they sound nice but I intend to play them with bass turned to -5 on the amp making them protected for long long life. Please note these are my design. The only thing that may add to them is maybe a tweeter horn that can sit on the top of the stack that will both look and sound amazing. NO SCREWS - These boxes are fully glued together. The speakers are indeed screwed in. You can affix bolts from the inside for a feeling of more secure fitting. NOTE : On image 3 you see some vertical rods. Ignore these as they were used to boolean (drill) the holes for the speaker screws. When you fit these screws, it is very easy to to damage the thread. You may want to use loctite or something. I didn't bother but its up to you. These were printed on a Kobra 2 Neo and took 24 hours per box, about 4 hours per side. PLA used. No special settings. 5 different pieces. Base and side matching. 6.5 speaker side 5.25 speaker side Rear side with hole for standard speaker cable attachment fitting Top including the Qubes logo.
