This is an "ear saver" designed to hook the straps of masks on the back of your head and relieve pressure on your ears. It can also help to improve the fit of homemade masks by tightening the straps.

I printed one of the well known ear-savers and was frustrated with how it fit on my printer bed. I also felt like it used excess material. I tried to improve these points and make a model that prints quickly and is strong.

The strap portion is 0.8mm thick, so you will get several layers of material which gives adequate strength and allows it to form around your head. Make sure to print with a lot of border layers so that it has continuous lines of material running down the length of the band.

The tabs on the strap are spaced so that parts can be nested on the print bed. Because of this, it's possible to fit 16 on the print bed of my Ender 3. They print in about 3 hours, using around 2.5g of material per part. I've been printing in PETG but I think this would work well in other ma
