Printable quick release system with a dovetail clamp type and a cam lever release type using the same quick release plate.
Materials:
Dovetail Clamp System
- 1x 1/4" - 20 Hex Nut
- 1x 3/8" - 16 Hex Nut
- 2x 4mm OD Springs (L: 25 mm)
- 1x M4 Adjustable Thumb Lever Screw (L: 17 - 20 mm)
- 1x M4 Hex Nut
Cam Lever System
- 1x 1/4" - 20 Hex Nut
- 1x M3 Socket Head Cap Screw (L: 12 mm)
- 1x M3 Nyloc/Locking Nut
Notes:
The jaw for the Dovetail Clamp type quick release should be printed with as high density infill as you are comfortable with, and 100% infill down the ID for the M4 thumb lever screw hole which can defined in your slicer. Depending on the print orientation, the interacting surfaces between the Clamp Body and Clamp Jaw may need post processing for smooth fit. The 1/4" - 20 and 3/8" - 16 nuts should be a friction fit, but it wouldn't hurt to dab them with CA glue.
This is a cheap alternative for making tons of quick release plates for cheap and are perfect for light loads, b
