Quick Switch Typing/Writing Pen Holder

This funky looking third arm is an idea that I've had in my head for a while. The concept is that for someone who has to often switch between writing and typing. It aids this by keeping the pencil or pen suspended above your hand while typing and thus making it easier to switch back too after the typing is complete by making it reachable without setting the pen down. It sits around the web part of your hand between the thumb and the pointer finger, and as far as the design, it should be ambidextrous in nature.
