The following identifies one method.Connect your computer to your printer using the USB port. Then using a program such as pronterface or octoprint send the “M503” command which will return a mess of information. Look for the line that begins with “M92”. This will include a set of numbers representing the current step values prefixed by either, X, Y, Z, or E.
