So, I'm talking to a friend that came into ownership of a modestly sized server rack to house some racked servers. And it turns out that while his server gear is on a very nice racked and managed switch, the rest of the house is split off and running on typical consumer grade stuff. Or at least that's how I grok'd it.
I asked him how he was managing all the gear? Because lets face it, that type of setup is going to need lots of small boxes. The switch for the house wasn't racked. Well we can't have that!
A little bit of work, and we have this. It's definitely a WIP. It's going to change a lot over time.
The general idea is that you can print just one, or you can print two with one being the mirror image of the other. The two sides can then be joined with a bridge piece and you can pass all your cables through the center.
