Rain Grate for Wall Mount Mailbox

Anytime it rained my mail would get wet, with Architectural Mailboxes Dal Rae Locking Metal Standard Mailbox BlackItem #423269 from Lowes. The rain did not drain quick enough, so I thought I could easily mock up a grate to add in there and seperate the rain from the mail.
