This is a rain spout diverter for a 3x3 rain downspout.
I had bought a diverter, but it was sized for a 3x4 and I needed 3x3. I was considering cutting down the first one and trying to glue it back together, but re-thought that process.
Instead, I had it built in TPU. Still waiting to install it and try it out, so YMMV. Really neat and technical design that took some effort to model.
To install, you drill a hole that's about the size of the base in to the downspout (can't remember exact measurements), then fold up the edges so that you can stick it through the hole. It should unfold inside and then capture almost all water.
