Rainbird 5000 Sprinkler Head Socket Tool

The model remains free for personal use.I designed this to remove and install Rainbird 5000 sprinkler heads. One side interfaces with the topmost screw-on cap / retainer. THe other side is used after the cartridge has been pulled out, it fits down inside and engages with ribs in the housing so you can unscrew the entire housing from the feed line. Use the tool to reinstall or install a new head. Each side has a square opening for a 3/8" drive ratchet but be careful to not overtighten or strip it out!This model features modifiers to strengthen the area where a ratchet can attach. If you want a longer tool, you can scale this in the z direction only but you will need to readjust the modifiers.I have this set to PLA which is fine for sprinkler heads that aren't too stubborn but you may want to go with something stronger if yours are difficult to remove.This is my original
