I wanted a port on the opposite side of the case from the ports (in my mind desktop case = most of the ports on the back). With the addition of a USB3.0 panel mount jack, the port moves to the "front" and is as secure as the case itself. This leaves one USB3.0 port free for use with a SSD adapter.
