Raspberry Pi camera and LED mount

All of the camera brackets I've tried have either been over-complicated (big adjustable arms), took up way too much space, or required unusually long camera cables. So I threw together a quick and simple mounting arrangement that attaches to the top horizontal rail of the printer using a T3 nut and 8mm M3 bolt.

The camera is aimed down at a 15 degree angle, sitting flush against the front rail providing a good view of the print surface.

Vertical supports have been included for attaching a lighting bar, along with additional mounts that do not include the camara part. These could also be mounted on the underside of the front rail for attachment of lighting or other items.


Important: there is a small chance your print-head will bump into this bracket if you're printing right out to the very front of the build area. I lose about 4.5mm of build range in the Y axis. Tilting the camera back reduces this but reduces the view of the build area so keep this in mind when using it. If
