There are loads of Raspberry Pi camera cases out there but none seemed to do exactly what i wanted, so I put together my own design which clamps to the sloping strut of a RepRapPro Mendel (which is still doing great service!) This allows me to create timelapse videos of my 3D prints.
The case itself snaps together and the bracket allows the V2 camera unit to be levelled.
The design was printed in PETG and all the parts were designed with a 0.2mm tolerance which works fine (for me)! As long as your printer is reasonably well set up, you shouldn't have any problems. I can't offer any advice on printing in ABS as I never use it, I haven't printed it in PLA, but the design tolerances should be OK.
The design requires 3 M3 Cylinder head screws - a 16mm, a 10mm, and an 8mm, plus 3 M3 nuts. The 8mm needs to be exact, the others can be a bit longer. M3 slot heads will also fit, but I try to make things so that I only need one screwdriver to adjust everything.
I have included the Invent
