I was trying to build my pi cluster and accidently fried one GPIO port with my screw driver. So I think it's a good idea to make a protective cover just to avoid that. For only ~5 grams of filament you get a snug fit cover protecting your pi from being accidently fried if they are not fully enclosed in a case (which is common when you are working on cluster or rack mounting solutions. This is really a snug fit, so really depending on your filament shrinkage. If it's too tight or too loose from your printer, simply scale it slightly and it should work.
