I created a Full printed enclosure for a raspberry pi (4 in my case).
The main purpose for me it that i put SyncThing on this installation.
This box can be put on a internet anyware you want and the drive will sync with your other drives.
If you put it somewhere out of your house you have a offsite backup for very low running costs ;-)
Main storage is on a single 3.5 HDD over a fast USB3.1 interface using the:
EW7018 USB 3.1 Gen1 (USB 3.0) to 2.5/3.5 inch adapter.
There is a single 140mm fan in front for cooling.
The unit is powered by a reliable Mean-Well-LRS-50-12-power-supply-12V-50W.
Using some buck converters I convert the voltage to the suitable level for the Pi and Fan.
The parts are stacked on each other so it can be build in blocks.
Note that the cover can be printed in one piece but i would not advice this.
Because can be quite hard because of possible warping.
Printing in three pieces is perhaps better.
In the pictures is some white residue on the cove
