I want to introduce the Rasberry Pi Touchscreen Stand. I have been looking for something that would hold the Raspberry Pi 7" Touchscreen and still allow me access to the GPIO of the Pi. Pictured is a Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+, but it also works with the larger model B.
You will need the following:
(4) M3 x 12mm
(4) M3 washers
(4) M2.5 x 12 screws
Update: I updated the right side, adding stiffness to the arms.
I also found that if you replace the power wires from the Pi to the touchscreen with 24AWG wire or larger, the lighting bolt goes away with a regular USB 2A (10-watt) power supply.
You can also use a USB-C break-out board (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B096M2HQLK?ie=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=bimcom-20&linkId=8a1770b3bb0f1cf537a76799743edadd&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl) to power the touchscreen and Pi with a single USB C Cable.
