A "shop vacuum rat trap" or "rat vac" uses a shop vacuum cleaner to trap rodents. It typically involves a motion sensor that activates the vacuum when a rodent enters a designated area, sucking it into the vacuum's collection tank. This model was built with the use of the Rigid 16 Gal. 6.5 Peak HP NXT Shop Vacuum Wet Dry Vac.
