Ratchet Strap Spool Keeper

A simple but effective ratchet strap spool I designed. The Ratchet strap spool operates on a similar principle as the standard ratchet handle. I used a TRON 608 ABEC 9 Bearing for the design. The skeleton side that is used to wind the strap up was just a little too small for the diameter of the bearing, so I used hot glue to secure it. It's functional and overall I am quite pleased with the end result.

Pictured is a 1" wide 15 foot nylon ratchet strap. I don't think it's possible to squeeze in a 20 foot strap without scaling up the holder or reworking the part.

The tolerance on the print was small enough that friction keeps the spools from unrolling by themselves. I've uploaded a new photo showing the first 2 printed hanging freely in the air by themselves.
