Phone cradle for 4th generation Rav4s – 2013 to 2018

We own a 2017 Rav4 and there is no good place to put a phone. When we drive, one of our phones is tethered to the dash and it usually ends up on the passenger’s lap.

There are two cup holders in the front, but if you use one with a phone cup holder (and there are two in the Rav4) one rider is holding his/her cup. There is a shallow tray in the front of the counsel, just under the dash. Our efforts to keep a phone there, even with Velcro, failed. There is also a triangular space (for coins?) in front and to the right of the gear shifter. This phone cradle sits in that triangle.

The cradle was made to accommodate our 2 phones (with cases), an iPhone XR and the larger iPhone 6 plus. The internal dimensions of the slot are 83 mm X 10 mm – so measure your phone.
