This is a bracket for a 6-pin JST SM connector housing that is screw mountable to an RC/Airplane wing. I created is because I don't like loose wires hanging out of the wing and having to fit fiddly JR or Futaba connectors that are easy to mix up. The SM connector is well protected, relatively small, easy to fit and has a locking latch. Much better, I think.
To make this connection complete you need to obtain:
- 3 brass M2x4 thread inserts.
- 3 M2x6 screws
- JST 6-pin male and female SM connector housings and contacts. If you don't like to crimp your own terminals, pre-crimped cables are available for little money, for example [here at aliexpress](http://bit.ly/2z2L4cn_JST_SM-CABLES).
I push the brass inserts into the support using a soldering iron set at about 180-200°C. Be sure to push them in straight.
You can glue the support somewhere in the wing with epoxy, then push the female housing into the plug holder and screw that onto the support.
