My first run at a fidget spinner made in the shape of a vinyl record adapter. It's ironic because many of the younger fidget spinner users are too young to even know what the adapter is, but it's still a cool design.
This is Alpha version 1.1 so I make no guarantees it will work without some changes.
Uses standard 608 bearing for center and 8mm steel balls for perimeter weights.
recordfidgetv2.stl has the edge chamfers removed so that the model can be printed with a brim if desired.
An alternative to using Steel Balls would be to use 8mm x 8mm Cylinder Neodymium Magnets. Then perform a number of experiments with multiple spinners on a shaft to see how the magnets influence the motion of other spinners on the shaft. Be careful to place an extra 608 bearing (or other spacer or varying thickness) between each spinner to prevent the magnets from slamming against one another or smashing fingers between them. That size magnet will have around 9.7 lbs of pull force and it's not recomm
