Redcat 51 - Flat Light Box

Created a flat light box designed to fit the Redcat 51 or any telescope with a dew shield diameter of 255mm. This light box is tailored to encircle only the dew shield. For the light source, 24v LEDs are recommended for optimal brightness, though 12v LEDs are also compatible. The light diffusion is achieved using four layers of basic diffuser paper, which is affixed to the film insert with hot glue.

Assembly involves pressing together the top ring and middle of the light box. After this, slide in the glued diffuser sheet insert. Continue to secure the assembly upwards, finishing with additional hot glue at the top for stability. The design includes both a combined piece and a two-piece variant for the ring top. For those with dual printing capabilities, printing the ring top in TPU is suggested for a better fit.

All components should be printed at 100% flow. This ensures minimal post-printing cleanup, like sanding, to achieve a snug fit.
