I found the reel holder supplied with the printer is a bit draggy and not best, especially for TPU. I obtained some 4mm tungsten carbide amalgum rod. Steel would do or stainless. Use this as an axle and print these items and the reel rolls with little resistance, so no starvation on TPU builds, etc.

These reel-holders cater for e-sun 500g, e-sun 1kg and TPU reels. I've not seen other reel profiles yet, but other centres could be made. The chevron design makes for extra toughness in a light design.
Yes, I know the holder does not quite cater for the TPU reel, but a few of bits of blu-tack or sticky-fixers soon solves that one, on the ends of the rod and on the feet of the holder.
