This thing can be twisted into a 100mm rain pipe through a 25mm hole to collect water. Use the shield and pipe to secure everything.
The pipe is designed for a hose with 10mm inner diameter. Use PETG, as PLA shrank to much in my case and the hook became to small to touch the pipes edges.
This current state turned out to not work great in real life scenarios:
- As the rain pipes are never perfectly round, during small amounts of rain most of the water still went down the pipe.
- The device is unable to collect the desired amount of water during a pour.
- Some water leaked past the shield.
There are results anyhow:
- water is collected in principle
- inserting and removing work great
- connection of pipe and hook is suprisingly watertight
- everything can be printed without any supports
