This is a design for a replacement case for a school Unilab stopclock that is commonly used in UK classrooms for science lessons. It helps repair units that have broken cases (cracks, broken screens, broken mounting supports, etc.). It replaces the sockets, buttons and battery holders with readily available alternatives. The alternative buttons are much more robust and have a more 'postive' feel when pressing. The design also includes specification for a new laser cut acrylic screen (although the original could be reused if still intact). The case fixings are replaced with threaded inserts and M3 screws rather than the rather fragile plastic bosses and self tapping screws of the original. The case can accomodate either the 1xAA or 2xAA battery stopcloCk versions, again secured with standard M3 fixings.
The replacement case is a similar size to the original, but slightly simplified so that the rear battery panel is a flat printable piece rather than a bent metal one. Assembly instructi
