Replacement for Pentair LXLATCH

My Pentair pool control box latches broke after a decade in the sun. The part of the latch that broke would require a $50 part to repair.

Not if you have a 3D printer it won't.

I measured the part and created a new one that should fit the bill. Print in ABS, PETG, PC, or other high-temperature rated filament. If your box is outdoors and exposed to the sun, consider using UV resistant plastics. Not recommended for PLA, PLA+, HIPS, or SLA resin printing.

( The photos here are of a beta version of the part, before I finished curving the bottom side. I thought it would be stronger/harder with a corner, but it doesn't make that much of a difference either way. )

You may need to adjust the scale slightly ( 1% ) up or down to match your latch. Print a few layers and test before printing the whole latch.
