Replacement Shower Door Latch

These brackets replace the magnetic catches that hold a shower door closed. The original sheet magnets will eventually corrode, de-laminate, and make a mess. The replacement brackets take Neodymium Disc Magnets (P.N. 58605K31 http://www.mcmaster.com/# ), and slip right in the extruded aluminum channel.

Magnets are .250" dia x .1" thick,nickel plated. Magnets are a snug fit it the holes, but I will use a drop of c.a.. Make sure the poles are aligned such that they will attract when installed!

I would have liked a little more holding force. Three magnets per side would have been better, but this is as good as the original.

I'm not sure how this will hold up over time, but we'll see.
