Ribbon Folding Device

Simple device for feeding ribbon through to crease it down the middle. I designed this for creasing Grosgrain ribbon which is used to cover the seams when sewing heavy canvas. This is designed for 1-inch wide ribbons. The opening thickness is 1mm, so there isn't enough clearance for thicker webbing. Only paper or thin fabric material will fit. I was unable to feed my Grosgrain through the device at first, and had to use masking tape to extend the ribbon by about 6 inches to thread it through.

Ironing your crease is good, but not always necessary. Someone recommended pinning down your folded ribbon on an ironing board and running the tool along the ribbon, ironing as you go for a very solid crease. I think that is a better method than my initial plan to use the tool as a ribbon dispenser.
