Rigid Flange Coupling

A complete 3D CAD model and drafting package for a rigid flange coupling. This type of mechanical coupling is widely used to securely connect two collinear rotating shafts for heavy-duty power transmission. This project was developed as part of engineering coursework (Assignment 5) to demonstrate assembly mating, keyway alignment, and 2D mechanical detailing. Project Components: Assembly Model (SLDASM): The fully mated flange coupling, demonstrating how the two flanged hubs are bolted together to transmit torque. Detailed Parts (SLDPRT): Includes the two main flange hubs (part 1 and part 2) and the rectangular transmission key (key). Engineering Drawings (SLDDRW): The native SOLIDWORKS drafting sheet featuring standard mechanical detailing, section views, and dimensions. Software: Modeled and drafted natively in SOLIDWORKS.
