Ring File Repeatability Modification 4.060" Bore Ring

If you want a better feel for how much material is being removed, parallel gaps and consistency then this modification is for you. I modified my existing run-of-the-mill ring file tool with the above plates and hardware. The dial indicator bracket was printed with 100% infill to prevent deflection. It still felt a little spongy but still gave me remarkable results. The modification has been designed to mount in many orientations to fit your liking. For example the dial indicator can mount on either side. I have many holes in the bottom plate, but you only need the ones that fit your ring file and the orientation that you like. I made the plates out of aluminum but I have to wonder if they could be cut from 1/4" acrylic on the Glowforge.
