I had bought an RJ45 bulkhead connector for my RV.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V317BYF?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
It comes with a rain-tight cap for when not in use, but I wanted something that would keep the elements out when a cable is plugged in.
You MUST put this cap on BEFORE crimping on the RJ45 male connector, as the hole is only large enough to fit the CAT5/6 cable through. If you have a cable already made, you must cut off 1 end, slip on this cover, then remake the RJ45 connector. Crimping an RJ45 is beyond the scope of this document.
Depending on the type of CAT5/6 cable you use, the hole for the cable may be slightly tighter/looser. For a more permanent fit/better rain protection, use some silicone or wrap with black vinyl electrical tape after installation..
