The ConceptA friend asked me to design a base and stand for a RODE Wireless PRO microphone.The task seemed simple, but it had to meet a number of requirements. The result is a unique and stylish microphone stand.The base is printed with 100% infill because mass is needed to hold the microphone stable when the base (the larger part) is mounted at the end of the stand. The microphone itself is tiny and doesn't pose a problem. However, it poses another problem – the cable connecting it to the base. The twisted section of the stand effectively conceals the cable, while its vertical section needed to be concealed within itself. The problem arose because the cable wouldn't stay inside the stand. It was necessary to print TPU covering "whiskers" that allow for ease of both insertion and removal of the cable from the stand.The design calls for two such elements, but in reality, one such element is sufficient. That's why I leave it to the users to decide whether they want to glue one or two TPU elements (we glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, but only after insertion and in a small amount, because the TPU hardens in combination with the glue).The base is attached to a stand, which is the same as the other components. The other components depend on the type of microphone you want to use. The connector (station) can be removed from the stand and used independently, like a wireless microphone, while the microphone with the cable should remain attached to the stand, as it requires connection to the base and the cable is not very long.Additionally, I glued two small self-adhesive silicone pads under the base (only at the front) to prevent the stand from shifting, and the slight tilt back further improved its stability.All components were printed in PLA, except for the ""oslona_przewodu" which I printed in TPU (TPU60, to be precise).
