I liked the design of this spool holder but I needed 3 of them to fit in my dry boxes I was making.
I decided to see if I could tweak these. So the originals are wider than a regular spool, maybe 25mm or so extra room. I took off about 20mm from the middle and shortened so I could put 3 of these side by side. With doing that, I had to make new end caps with a cone shape as the spool sits on the end caps now. It is a very tight fit for the spool. All of my spools fit on here so if you have any wider than a standard 1kg spool, yours may not fit.
I haven't test this long term but it seems to be keeping the spool in the middle. Let me know if you make one of these and have any issues.
I printed mine in PETG in standard settings.
Those are 15% grid infill, 0.2mm Layer Height, 2 Shells/Wall Loops, I forgot to change my top and bottom layers to 5. They printed in 5 top, 3 bottom and it seem good.
Feel free to change settings. I printed these on my Flashforge 5m, I did calibrate it u
